As much as a good BBQ is about great food, the drinks also count! My advice; load up the fridge with more than enough beer and wine, a couple of bottles of fizz, some fresh ingredients for a cocktails - fruit for a sangria, or limes and fresh mint from the garden for mojitos, and a well stocked bar with all of the staple spirits.
If you're planning on taking it up a notch towards the end of the evening with some great cocktails, choose someone responsible to man the bar, or things can go pretty wrong! (from experience...)
3 parts red wine (something fruity, such as merlot) 1 part fresh orange juice 2 parts lemonade 50ml Gin 100ml Ginger Beer
Slice strawberries in half and add to a large glass jug. Add the rest of the fruit followed with the red wine, fresh orange & lime juice, lemonade, gin & ginger beer. Add plenty of ice until your jug can handle no more!
For an extra depth, add some fresh mint from the garden, and mix well with a wooden spoon.
Champagne Cocktails Kir Royale Chambord Champagne
Fill each glass with champagne of choice & top with a splash of Chamboard • When pouring, use the back of spoon to keep the liquor separate!
